For comparison, a 6 foot tall person would be 6 divided by 24, or 0.25 ft (3 inches) tall. Therefore, in slot car 1/24 racing, a 3 inch tall driver would fit into a 6 inch long slot car. The 1/24 ratio in slot car 1/24 racing is also known as the half-inch scale. That is because one foot or 12 inches is represented by 12 divided by 24 or one-half scale inches.

Slot car 1/24 racing has the largest cars in slot racing. The same 12 foot car in 1/32 scale would be 4.5 inches long. In HO scale or 1/64 scale, the car would be only 2.25 inches long.
