1/32 refers to the scale in a form of slot car racing - one unit of length on the car is equivalent to 32 units of length on the full sized car. This is a form of racing that is fast and exciting. 1/32 scale is very popular in slot car racing. 1/32 is also written as 1:32, one thirty-second and 3/8 inch scale. 3/8 inch refers to the fact that 3/8 inch on a 1/32 slot car represent one foot on a full sized car. 1/32 is also a popular size for model toy trains and soldiers.

A 12 foot long full size car in 1/32 scale will measure 4.5 inches in length. In terms of height, a 6 foot tall driver would be 2.25 inches tall.
